Here's how to install Adobe Lightroom presets, depending on your Lightroom version:
Lightroom Classic (Version 7.3 or later)
Extract Presets: Download your presets, usually in a .zip file. Extract the contents to a folder on your computer.
Open Lightroom Classic: Go to the Develop module.
Import:
Click the "+" icon at the top right of the Presets panel on the left.
Select "Import Presets."
Navigate to the extracted preset folder, select the .xmp files, and click "Import."
Lightroom CC (Desktop)
Extract Presets: Similar to Lightroom Classic, extract the presets to a folder.
Open Lightroom CC: You can have an image open or not.
Import:
Go to "File" > "Import Profiles & Presets."
Navigate to the extracted preset folder, select the .xmp files or the entire .zip file, and click "Import."
Additional Tips:
File Types: Make sure you're importing .xmp files. Older presets might be in .lrtemplate format and require a different installation process.
Organization: Lightroom will create a "User Presets" folder by default. You can create new folders or rename existing ones to organize your presets better.
Updates: If you update Lightroom, your presets should remain installed. However, it's good practice to back them up periodically.
